Chicken Export from Ukraine to Saudi Arabia

Food Trade Partners Ltd. exports frozen chicken products from Ukraine to Saudi Arabia through cooperation with major Ukrainian poultry producers accredited by Saudi authorities. The company supplies whole chicken, leg quarters, drumsticks and thighs.

Saudi Arabia is one of the largest poultry producers in the Gulf region, yet remains a major importer. Imports continue because domestic production does not fully satisfy demand, premium segments require stable external supply, population growth increases consumption, and food-security policy encourages diversified sourcing.

Ukraine is competitive due to lower feed costs, large-scale integrated production and export infrastructure. Saudi producers benefit from government support and proximity to consumers, but often have higher production costs.

Saudi buyers predominantly require Halal poultry. Halal slaughter includes religious compliance, welfare requirements, blood drainage and traceability. In Ukraine, Halal certification is commonly conducted by recognized Islamic certification bodies serving export markets.

Main destination ports include Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port (Dammam), important gateways for frozen food imports.

Products are commonly packed in 10–20 kg corrugated cartons for wholesale distribution and foodservice channels.

Saudi importers generally prefer natural chicken without water injection, valuing yield transparency and product integrity.
